The I.R. of Iran Meteorological Organization (IRIMO) is a research organization which deals with weather, climate, and environment and its research projects are aligned with Iran's technical and administrative development. Meteorological information seems crucial in improving social and economic situations and is almost used in all national projects and infrastructure. The required services have been developed to get access to IRIMO deliverable products and services through portals. In this sense, these products and services are divided into two groups: short-term, mid-term, and long-term products and basic atmospheric and climatic information which consists of atmospheric parameters such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, amount of solar radiation, direction and wind speed, amount of cloud and snow, amount of evaporation, and amount of precipitation in form of weather analytical models and maps. This historical information is used in research projects and high-level management policies in order to make plans in different fields.
Also, based on meteorological applications, these services and products can be divided into some other groups. Daily maps, aeronautical meteorological products, marine meteorological products, received images from radars and satellites, agrometeorological products, bulletins, seasonal and periodical publications and climatic data of meteorological stations are among the main services provided by IRIMO to the users and stakeholders.
In order to produce meteorological products, the current weather conditions are determined and the future weather conditions are predicted by observation networks data. These meteorological data is delivered to the users based on their requirements. The following image shows the various atmospheric observations in weather observation network.
Predicted information is mainly produced by numerical prediction models which use the weather observation networks data. Thus, by using integrated observation networks data with great authenticity, we can ensure the accuracy and credibility of the models output. In these models, using time derivatives, meteorological products are predicted for the coming hours and then the weather predictors analyze this information and deliver it to the public. According to the users' requirements, weather predictions are made in short-term, mid-term, and long-term forms.
